NVivo 12 is a software package for analysis of qualitative data, such as transcripts of in-depth interviews, focus groups and field notes, data from electronic web surveys, audio, video, and social media data. Qualitative Data Analysis with NVIVO 12 – Part 1 This workshop is appropriate for beginner researchers with no previous knowledge of Dedoose as well as those who would like to expand their knowledge and skills with this software. Specifically, the participants will learn how to link their data to Dedoose, code qualitative data, manage quantitative data, and explore the patterns and trends in the findings with a variety of visual tools. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce participants to Dedoose software, discuss the key points for efficient use and teamwork, as well as to provide participants with an opportunity to acquire some hands-on experience. The web-based nature of this software allows collaborations of the researchers across different platforms (PC and Mac) in real time. Dedoose is a cloud-based software for analysis of qualitative and mixed data, such as transcripts of in-depth interviews, focus groups and field notes, data from electronic web surveys, audio, and video data.
